Our Promise

Who we are

Stories Beyond Stone is a small Canadian business based in Nova Scotia. We run the site ourselves, and when you contact us, you're talking to the people who run it.

How long your page stays online

We guarantee your tribute page online for at least 10 years from the day you set it up, and we intend to keep it running for as long as we can. There are no yearly fees.

If we ever have to close

We'll give you as much notice as we can and help you get your own copy of your tribute. You don't have to wait for that, though: you can download a copy at any time.

Your own copy

From your tribute's edit page, you can download a page that opens without this website, the words as a text file, your photos and the family memories you've approved. Videos stay on YouTube or Vimeo, so please keep your own copies of those. See a sample tribute.

Your plate

If your plate stops scanning, comes off, or is damaged or stolen, we'll send a free replacement with the same address, so the tribute page stays exactly as it is.

• Stainless Steel: 10 years
• Bronze: 10 years

Your privacy

A tribute stays private until you publish it, and you can make it private again at any time. We don't show ads on tribute pages, and we won't sell or license your tribute without asking you first. Saying no never affects your tribute.

Keeping your tribute safe

Your tribute is backed up every night.
